A New Dirtbike (9/23)

I'm not sure how the specifics went down but Jack came home from church insisting that he would be gifted a dirt bike if able to get both it and its matching pair running. Cringing, I asked for more info and, somewhat reluctantly, I charged David with walking over to confirm said deal with a new to us Young Men's leader. (Jack would be needing lots of David's help anyhow.) The deal was verified and Dave and Jack had a new project together. David using patient, analytical attention to detail while Jack took a more crude approach to diagnosis but they did it together and it ended up being an almost exact match of the bike Grandpa has in St George for use. When completed, both Brother Dell and Jack were happy - it was a truly generous offer from a very kind mentor! (In true Gen Z fashion, taking pics for posting purposes was maybe the most exciting part.)

Pants at Lake Powell (6/23)

Lake Powell wasn't about to hault the progress I was making in lazer hair removal so I ended up wearing pants for the entire trip (and for an entire AZ summer)! It was pretty ridiculous but worthwhile.

Rest assured, the covered leg lady still had a wonderful time! Lake Powell tends to be that way with: lizard catching, carefree hair days, massive food buffets, the slalom emerging from retirement, kayak strolls, game nights, reading books in the shade, jeering for tricks, etc...

'Adventure' with Cousins (6/23)

A trip to Omaha was highly anticipated by the kids and carefully planned by parents who wanted enough space for comfort in our new relocation before returning to easy familiarity. It was such a fun reunion with friends and coworkers but mostly family! We spent time in the temple together, had after dinner walks as is customary, plant shopping - also customary, and had lots of family time. We especially enjoyed goofy fun together at Adventureland provided by doting grandparents.

Party Barbie (10/23)

Just when I thought I was done doing costumes, we moved to Mesa where it's normal for teenagers to roam the Halloween streets. And honestly, I wasn't mad about it. Loved the chance to do one more costume and have another chance to shower love with crafts and parties! I enlisted David's help to create the box and spent hours wrapping it in pink. I think Party Barbie turned out pretty perfect!
