lemonade stand ruminations

kindin has been ruminating about lemonade stands - and i do mean ruminating!  she asked to host one with her friends and then proceeded to scam two other moms into doing one on the fly at their homes.  in fact, these pictures were captured over 3 consecutive sales days.  (i think it might have continued with such momentum had she not finally earned enough money for rollerblades.)

junkstock- a 'spectacular' time!

... oh how i love my twice yearly trip to junkstock with my friend mia.  we have the most amazing time sifting through, well..., junk and then welcoming it into our homes!  this season's finds included: oz, lb, and qt acrylic signs; a vintage kitchen towel; antique hinges; a size 4 1/2 marquee sign; and an industrial pizza pan.  

of note: i attended for an additioanl 2 hours later that day to introduce my sister in law to the event. and it was still spectacular.  we successfully scored her an operational antique hair salon chair for free!  (that lucky gal!)

boys with endless opportunity to run made them happy; the absence of overly used phrases such as: 'if you want to jump, go outside' or 'no wrestling on the trampoline' or 'be sure to point the nerf guns away from faces' made me happy; a mess confined to park garbage cans was relaxing; the lack of party decor went unnoticed; the noise levels were not only tolerable; and i even took comfort in under-planning.
