my full time job

remember the post about my second family? http://stoverstreetfam.blogspot.com/2014/05/a-word-about-wong-womens.html  well, depending on the day, i refer to the 40 hours plus a week i put into YW as either my second family or as my full time job.  i must admit, lately, it's been my full time job. after all, it IS always 40 hours a week (if not more); my calendar is color-coded and built around one YW event after another; and there are rarely, if ever, lulls.  and our recent UP themed Excellent Beginnings (a combined new beginnings and ywie intended to mainstream and simplify the effort of both yearly programs) was ironically no exception.

laveen revisited

I just spent a few relaxing days with this wonderful friend from my past!

We hiked Usery park; shopped the new outlet mall; glanced at the Gilbert temple; dined at Blue Lemon, Pei Wei, and Joes Farm Grill; caught a thought-provoking movie; ran the old stomping grounds; got pedicures; and divulged/ chatted/ discussed for days!

The highlight of the trip was a night of Last Chance rummaging followed by dining at my most favorite mexican restaurant Ajo Als- with more wonderful friends from my past.

I am so blessed to have meaningful friendships I can pick right back up- not to mention willing parents who babysat and a husband who works hard for such extras!
