roll a new life over... omaha

where have i been you ask?  i've been *selfishly (more on that later) taking care of myself and proud of it!  getting in a formal exercise groove is the last thing to be reclaimed since moving and it feels so good.  in fact, the first day, i left the *overpriced (more on that later) comforts of the gym in tears of joy- happy to unbottle 6 + months of moving across the country stresses!  i'll admit, i'm on a pretty *cushy (more on that later) schedule there- going where the kids can be in kids care and on the same schedule as 3 chatty friends.  but i'm absolutely loving this boost and finding the MOST peace and LEAST irritability i've felt in a very, very long time.
now onto the *(more on that later) issues involved in gym membership.  for starters, i unfortunately join the rest of omaha in resolving to love the gym in 2013 which means their yoga class is ridiculously overcrowded and therefore, unreasonably priced. (my bum in the faces of fellow yoginis is a far cry from my peaceful days in the phoenix yoga studio)  second, my internally- motivated, accountant husband had to lovingly provide room in the budget for said overpriced fees in the realization that my other attempts at exercise structuring have miserably failed (think: an elliptical that didn't make the move; a currently impractical dream of practicing ashtanga yoga daily; and being repulsed by the cost-efficient words 'running' and 'cold mornings'.)
this being only my second gym membership (the first after a boyfriend-less move to boise for an advanced pace graduate program while taking the hormonally charged drug accutane!)... i'm absolutely loving this *overpriced, *cushy, and *selfish boost to my new year and new life.

Wow, I feel better about life just reading this positive and hopeful report! I am so happy for you; happy that you feel good and happy that you are taking care of yourself. You look happier and healthier, it's beautiful to behold! This post made my day :)

your class should slim down by the end of february/march - people lose momentum with their resolutions by then. gym memberships are so nice, and i have certainly loved mine. although i have put in my 30 days to quit the gym after two great years, there. i hope after we move i'm able to find and equally suitable gym to join.

"Cold mornings" and "running" are all bad words in my book...put them together and you've got an abomination. :) Glad to hear you're so happy.
