stover girl has finally convinced stover boy that coloring is a worthwhile pasttime.  he sits at the table to do self-imposed 'homework' in the form of practicting his letters.

without prompt, he always holds the door open for his mother

is all boy but still wants the pink cup like his sister

when he's crabby or bored, mom has learned to turn on music to lift his spirits.
