the buzz on stover girl

stover girl was the kindergarten bee of the week.  some of the perks associated with this prestigious title include: bringing in her favorite book, showcasing the quilt she made with omi for show and tell, being in the front of the line all week long, and generally feeling quite important.  the only thing during the week that proved difficult was having to construct a letter to be read to the class about her.  mom felt like a tight rope walker wanting desperately to compliment her but trying desperately to save her from public embarassment.  so it was decided that her bee of the week letter would look like this:

10 fun facts:
1. her name is very special--- mom decided on it when she was 14
2. she giggles a lot
3. she is talented at crafts (especially designing cards)
4. she wants to own a farm someday
5. she hates going to bed
6. she is very easy to get along with and makes friends quickly
7. her brain is always thinking and solving problems
8. she is a good swimmer
9. she loves mac n cheese for dinner
10. she's been on an airplane at least 15 times

although i'll admit i considered these mushy/ embarassing facts:

she crosses her legs like a sassy grownup at church
i wouldn't be surprised if she considers a legal name change to 'missy mae'
she believes the worst thing she could be asked to eat is tomatoes
she gets embarrassed when caught primping in the mirror
her biggest desire is to grow her hair as long as possible
she currently loves hello kitty
she conquered a 6 week ringworm battle with an amazing chin-up mentality
she is particular and exact
she once spent a year and a half walking the perimeter of the room because she was afraid of the ceiling fan falling down
she keeps all feelings in all day until a bedtime heart-pouring to mom
she never talks negatively about others
she is very unassuming and has few requests/ demands (except more treats!)
her favorite and only pasttimes are 'art stuff' and riding bikes
her report card says she is fun and energetic and a good role model for others.
she is quite good at folding laundry
