Lake Powell is our favorite place on the planet ...but, as Dave eloquently states, "It's a high risk, high reward vacation". This year was notably so when we elected to haul the power boat. (Hauling 3000 pounds for1000 miles over the Vail mountain pass is truly stressful!) This trip included an engine failure after business hours on the way out and a cut trailer brake line on the way home, two angry bosses, overpriced hotels, shared family germs, mom and 7 kids running out of gas on the powerboat, a torn houseboat roof and missing solar panels, flared psoriasis, 109 heat on packing day, and a lost wallet. And while it was fun teaching everyone how to surf, 'Fresh' won't likely be traveling to Powell in 2023.
Instead, this landscape, uninterrupted family time, being off the grid, our favorite hobby, and quiet solitude
...will be enjoyed with a boat rental.
